PERMANENT MAKEUP | HEALING & AFTERCARE
Here is your full guide to permanent makeup and the healing process. Your aftercare is vital for achieving and maintaining your results.

what to expect after your treatment
Your new permanent makeup will go through a natural healing process. It’s normal for the colour to look darker, bolder, or warmer than expected in the first few days – don’t worry, this will soften and fade down as your skin heals.
You may experience:
-
Slight redness or swelling for the first 24–48 hours.
-
Mild flaking or scabbing as the skin heals.
-
The colour appearing lighter once healed (this is why a touch-up session is always recommended).
Healing takes around 7–10 days on the surface, but your skin will continue to settle for up to 6 weeks.
aftercare instructions
Surface healing time is 7-10 days.
To get the best results and avoid complications, please follow these aftercare guidelines carefully:
Do’s ✅
-
If you notice fluid buildup, boil some water and let this cool completely. Use a cotton pad with this water to gently blot.
-
Keep the area clean and dry.
-
Apply the recommended healing balm (if advised) sparingly with clean fingers or cotton bud.
-
Allow scabs to fall off naturally – this is part of the healing process.
Don’ts ❌
-
Don’t pick, scratch, or peel the scabs or flakes – this can cause pigment loss and scarring.
-
Don’t apply makeup directly over the healing area.
-
Don’t expose the area to direct sun, tanning beds, saunas, or swimming pools until healed.
-
Don’t use skincare products containing acids or retinol near the area during healing.
full healing process

Days 1–2: Brows/eyeliner/lips look darker and more defined. Some redness or swelling may be present.
Days 3–5: Flaking and scabbing begin. The colour may appear patchy – this is normal.
Days 6–10: Flakes naturally fall away, the area may look very light or “disappearing.”
Weeks 2–4: Colour can look faded and patchy in areas.
Week 6: Skin fully healed, colour settles and looks a lot softer and more faded than when we first started.
Long-Term Care
To keep your permanent makeup looking beautiful for years:
-
Always wear SPF on the treated area – UV rays can fade pigment.
-
Avoid harsh skincare products (acids, peels, retinols) directly over the area.
-
Book a color boost every 12–24 months to maintain your results.
